This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My project includes alphabet tubes to be used for real world examples during our OG curriculum, a large rug to delineate space for large group learning as well as community circle time. The rug also allows for alphabet reference and potential movement activities using the letters printed on the rug. The vacuum will be stored in my closet and used for the many days when our Facilities Manager is not able to vacuum our room. This may also become a classroom chore for students so they may take part in keeping our space clean and ready for learning. The Spot book set will be used to reinforce our Second Step curriculum around good citizenship, kindness, etc.
