I am so excited to begin at our Elementary as the newest EAK teacher! What is EAK? It's an early admittance kindergarten program where students who are 4 years old can participate in learning how to do "school", develop their social, emotional, behavioral skills, as well as their inter-personal abilities - all of which are vital to their success as these little learners enter kindergarten in the fall.
The EAK classroom is designed with purpose - giving students easy movement throughout and center areas for discovery and inquiry-based learning.
My classroom aims to welcome my new students with bright colors, representations of their learning, and filled with tools for them to be successful, such as pictures, visuals, and engaging bulletin boards.

My Project
EAK (early admittance kindergarten) is brand new to my school this year and in being new I am in need of basic resources to help kickoff our school year in January! Providing these materials to my classroom this year which include paper, manipulatives, bulletin board materials, and a sensory table. This is enough to get my classroom off the ground and ensure that my students are welcomed on their first day and are ready to learn!
My little students learn best through dramatic play, opportunities to interact and socialize in meaningful ways, discover and engage through art, and discovery-based centers.
