My Students

My high school physics students learn by doing and not by hearing it from me. My job is to create an experience and guide them through a journey of discovery. Learning the content of the course is only part of this experience. I believe it is the life skills they learn that really count.

My students love to design, create, and engineer hands-on projects.

They get excited to come to class when they know it will be a day full of strategic thinking, intense engagement, competition, challenge and collaboration. The best days are those when they are lined up outside and ready to start as soon as they walk in. I want every day to be like this!

My Project

My students need a high quality video projector for classroom presentations. The projector will be used in every class, every day to present data, show graphical analysis of data, show live sensor readouts, show computer simulations, and general presentation use.

This project will greatly enhance the communication of information to my students by allowing them to see on a large screen what we are discussing.

High quality presentation equipment should be standard in all classrooms. Students respond well to visual information and this project will meet their needs more effectively than current methods.

A projector would also be used during special meetings, after school during club meetings and other events such as back to school night and open house.
