This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager to read literature that truly represents ther experiences as newcomers and the changes they have to live through. "Solito" s a book about a young boy traveling alone from Guatemala. He recounts all the struggles and obstacles he faces during his journey. My students need to read books that really interest them. I believe this will help them feel comfortable, relate, and apply new skills into their lterature classes and beyond. Thank you so much for all your support. We will make great use for this amazing book!
