A Book is a Gift

Help me give my students a classroom library that excites them to read, and helps to expand their world! These books will help them learn about different cultures, and help reluctant readers find books they love!

My Project

When kids read a good book, they get excited, they learn about the world, and they learn about themselves. They also grow in their vocabulary and can travel to places they can't get to in any other way! My students attend a low income school. Many of their homes have few, or no, books. They often don't see reading as a fun way to spend time. This library would provide them with books about different cultures, fun science topics, and quality literature. There are novels, informational books, and even graphic novels. These books will be accessible to all kinds of readers.
