First grade sets the foundation for students learning to read. It's when they finally start putting all those sounds together to read words, then sentences, and finally stories. I need your help in building my classroom library!
Help me give my students a variety of books to read each day.
When a student starts reading and sees success, it encourages them to continue to read! If a student cannot read, he/she cannot do any other subject successfully because at some point they will be required to read word problems in math, read words on a map in social studies, and read about the weather, etc. in science. By helping me build my classroom library, you are contributing to lifelong learners!
