My Project
My students actually enjoy reading and performing Shakespeare, but when it comes drama, reading from phones and laptops makes it hard to stage and block scenes. With a paperback copy of the play King Lear, students can move freely while still reading their parts with one hand. The edition I am asking for also has a contemporary English version of the more archaic original language for every page. Most importantly, our students spend enough screen time on their devices--in school they should feel the heft and smell the pages of an actual text.
