This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom consists of 30 amazing, bright, and persistent students with a range of reading levels from kindergarten to 6th grade abilities. I strive daily to encourage reading/vocabulary development and growth through small group reading and daily independent reading.

"Oh the places you'll go!", Dr. Seuss, is a phrase that captures the adventure of reading.

What happens when the shelves of a classroom library are hard to fill? Those adventures are limited and independent reading time becomes more of a chore than an enjoyable time to dive into an interesting book.

Please help me in creating a library filled with books that will speak to the wide variety of readers in my classroom, and encourage growth in their reading abilities.
