My Project
My 2nd-grade students are the heart of my classroom. Their curiosity, eagerness to learn, and unique perspectives inspire me. They are a vibrant and diverse group, each with their strengths and challenges. Their kindness towards one another and genuine enthusiasm for learning make every day a joy, and I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of their educational journey. I especially love seeing their faces light up when they connect with a story or master a new reading skill – that spark of discovery is truly magical.
Access to quality reading resources is essential for nurturing this love of reading and fostering academic growth.
The materials we hope to acquire will enhance our literacy program, such as [comprehension passages, lamination pouches, copy paper, decodable books, etc.]. Decodable books will support our emerging readers, building a strong foundation in phonics and boosting their confidence. Comprehension passages will challenge students to think critically and develop a deeper understanding of texts. Lamination pouches will help preserve these valuable resources, ensuring they can be used for years. These resources will enable me to create engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual needs of my students, fostering a love of reading that will last a lifetime and empowering them to become confident, lifelong learners.
