We work with students who have Individual Education Plans or who are being evaluated for special education or related services. We use a dry erase board to organize our cases. The old one is hard to erase which makes it difficult to read.
A new dry erase board would be an amazing addition to our room.
It is an important organizational tool for data collection and maintenance. We use it to track who is in the process of evaluation and what evaluations are needed. We also track where we are in the process; therefore, students will receive their evaluations, special education supports, and related services in a timely manner. During testing situations, the students will use the dry erase board, which will provide an appropriate hand position. It also can be used to assess informally and reduce stress during standardized testing.
