This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how joyful, resilient, and full of potential my students are. They come to school each day ready to learn, connect, and be part of our classroom community. Many of my students come from underserved backgrounds, and for some, school is one of the only places where they feel truly seen and celebrated.

Birthdays are a big deal in childhood, but sadly, many of my students don’t get to celebrate theirs at home due to financial challenges or difficult circumstances.

In our classroom, we want to change that. These supplies like birthday crowns, stickers, bracelets, fun treats, and mini activity books will allow us to create meaningful and joyful birthday traditions.

Each item will help make our students feel valued and loved. A simple chair cover, a ring pop, or a sticker that says “It’s My Birthday” can bring huge smiles and help a child feel special and important. When students feel celebrated, their confidence grows and so does their sense of belonging, which supports both their emotional well-being and academic success.

With your help, we can ensure every child has the chance to feel the magic of being celebrated on their birthday, just like they deserve.
