A Big Whiteboard for Big Phonics Gains!

My Project

My students are enthusiastic and hardworking early readers who are building foundational literacy skills every day. They thrive with visual, interactive tools that make learning phonics fun and effective. We use the Fundations phonics curriculum, which relies heavily on magnetic letter tiles to support reading, spelling, and writing instruction.

We are requesting a large magnetic whiteboard that provides enough space to display and manipulate phonics letter tiles during whole-group instruction.

Our current whiteboard is too small, and students often can't see the letters clearly or follow along with our word-building lessons.

This larger whiteboard will help ensure all students can see, participate, and engage with our daily phonics routines. It will be used for:

- Letter-sound correspondence

- Word building and decoding

- Sentence practice

- Interactive spelling activities

A high-quality, spacious whiteboard is essential for making phonics instruction accessible and effective for all learners.

Having a large, clearly visible space for phonics tiles makes a huge difference in how students learn. With this whiteboard, every child will be able to see and interact with the letters as we build words and sentences together. It will support multisensory learning, helping students retain phonics patterns and become stronger, more confident readers.
