My Project
We are a public Montessori school offering high-quality Montessori education for free to students of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. One of the pillars of Montessori education is creating a beautiful environment where students are inspired to learn.
We have wonderful books in our classroom library that cover a wide-range of topics and genres.
Our non-fiction books are engaging in the cultural areas of social studies and all the sciences. Our novels vary in topics and reading levels to reflect the diverse background of my students. Our bookshelves, on the other hand a VERY well0oved and falling apart. We need new shelves!
Also, we have a quiet corner in our library for students to go when they are feeling stress or upset for any reason. It's a calming space and we would like to have some fidgets and sensory options to help students find peace and return to work.
Our wonderful books need shelves that reflect their quality and my students will benefit from a variety of sensory tools in our library corner to help self-regulate. Beautiful shelves and a quiet reflection corner will make our classroom library a place where students can find the books to inspire them and peace when they need it.
