My students need new nonfiction books and chair bags to help keep their books for daily five organized.

My Students

I'm so excited for the start of a new school year! I can't wait to see the faces of 20 new second graders.

I teach at a Title I school where many of my students receive free and reduced meals.

Each student is special and unique. Even with certain everyday challenges, these students come to school ready to learn and have fun. They want to be successful in all that they do.

My Project

Students will be using these new bags to store books that they choose to read. The bags will also help keep the books in good condition because students will no longer throw books into desk. Students can also take the bags with them during read to self and read to someone.

We also have noticed that we have a variety of fiction books but not enough nonfiction books.

It is important for my students to be exposed to different book genres. I would love to see them apply what they learn in class when they are reading independently or with a friend. They will learn so much from these new books!
