Help me give my students hands-on ABC supplies to learn their alphabet. They need a sand and water table, sand tools and sand along with manipulatives to have experiences with exploring the alphabet without worksheets.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are interested in the world around them. They are city kids with a keen interest in learning new things. They love to explore, to write, to build and to read. As the ELD teacher for kinder and 1st grade, I spend my time pushing
into classrooms to teach English language learners.
My students come from an impoverished background, but they also have strong family ties and parents who want the best for them. Our school is very large and with the latest state budget cuts, our class will be much larger than normal. This won't stop us from becoming a school family looking out for each other and learning everything we can in these first pivotal years of school.
My Project
These hands on manipulatives will allow the students to learn through play. Students can explore the alphabet with their senses. They can sort, play, practice and not even realize they are learning when they have such interesting new supplies to interact with. We have a lot of students who don't have access to this type of play at home.
The manipulatives will create interesting and engaging center times for our students who are in school for the first time.
The centers are the most favorite part of the day. Students take concepts that are taught in small group and practice in their center rotations. Keeping the entire alphabet fresh an exciting is very hard without the proper supplies.
