This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love working in small groups throughout the school week. They love working in small groups because not only are they able to socialize with their classmates, but they are also able to get one-on-one time with the teacher as well as learning through hands-on-materials with their peers.

As an Early Childhood Special Needs teacher, I play a crucial role in helping my students develop their language and alphabet skills.

That is why I am requesting two different ABC activities. The first is "The Alphabet Zoo" not only are they learning their letters and letter sounds with this activity but they are also learning and being able to recall a variety of animals that start with a specific letter. The second activity I am requesting are Alphabet Rockets, so the students can learn their letters and letter sounds through a hands-on learning approach, while also increasing their fine-motor skills. Lastly, I am requesting stickers so my students can feel proud and accomplished after completing small group activities and the stickers will be utilize for positive reinforcement!
