Our school is a large school in North Tampa. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and speak many languages. They are voracious readers and active thinkers, jumping into any subject feet first. They get excited about learning and love to share their ideas with others. Any opportunity that I can get to share new ideas and experiences with them is welcome. What makes it even better is their enthusiasm for learning everyday. They are a special and talented bunch.
My Project
My students LOVE technology! They are learning to code through the use of Lego Mindstorms, WeDo kits and Ozobots, so having a set of 3-D Doodlers would be a great next step. Having such a large set would allow my more than 40 students to get turns more often as well.
Hands-on experiences are key to creating lifelong learners and 3-D Doodlers are a way to put amazing technology directly into my students' hands.
I believe that this addition to our makerspace will spark creativity and inspire their imaginations. They will be able to to physically manifest their amazing ideas.
