I just got done playing 9 Square in the Air for the first time and realized it is a must have for my students. In this game each student is in a square and must volley a rubber ball out of their square and into another square. If they hit it out or do not hit the ball they go to the end of the line. There is a rotation similar to 4 square that keeps the game moving. I love this game because not only are 9 people playing at once, but the line stays moving quickly so there is plenty of action for each player!
There is no doubt in my mind that this will become a huge favorite if we get to introduce it into our PE classes.
My plan is to use this game as a way to keep students active and happy while I assess skills they have been working on in PE. This version of the game is adjustable so I will easily be able to lower it for my younger students. This game will also help us work on hand eye coordination and striking skills! I cannot wait to teach my students this fun and engaging game!
