My Students

Over 90% of our student population receives free lunch. Many of my students travel over 90 minutes to have a free breakfast to start their day. The students, though highly economically disadvantaged, are always in school and on-time. They are always eager to learn through reading, demonstrations, and hands-on activities (their favorite).

My students are dedicated, hard-working, and willing to think outside of the box to learn new skills and techniques.

These students are always excited to apply themselves to explore and discuss new topics in science and math. They collaborate with their peers to design and conduct experiments, to peer-edit student work, and to provide constructive feedback.

The supplies purchased will help these students learn new science and math content but also teamwork, responsibility, dedication, and commitment. The students have pledged to become role-models by achieving high academic standards, assisting other students, and putting a stop to bullying and trying to become informed citizens.

My Project

The Engineering Aid Drop kits will provide my students hands-on and safe access to explore topics in physics. Students will design, build, and modify their modules using principles of physics.

Students will be able to design experiments, explore the nature of science activities, and participate in thought-provoking discussions with their peers.

Students will research worldwide disaster scenarios and solve problems using their experimental data from their drop tests.

They will provide solutions to overcome these issues.

These are rigorous STEM topics my students will prepare for to succeed in high school and college. Allowing students to think about real-life issues and providing them with the resources, safe space, and guidance will encourage them to work together to solve our society's dire needs and dilemmas.
