My students need Chromebooks to help them study about the world. Chromebooks are becoming essential in the 21st century classroom because of the ever changing world around us.

My Students
My students are great group that come from variety of backgrounds. I have several English as a second language learners. I also have 6 special education students that need to have visuals to help them comprehend what is being studied. Hands-on learning is important to all students so that they can make connections to other learning standards.
Our school is about 45% free/reduced lunch students.
Then we have students come from a more affluent background. Using technology is a way to meet the needs of all of these students.
My Project
When my project is funded, my students will have access to a variety of learning resources. With these Chromebooks, each student will have his/her own computer to do research on and access learning apps. My students that speak another language will be able to read articles in their native language and students needing special assistance will be able to listen to articles to aid in their comprehension of world cultures.
With the additional Chromebooks, students also be able to write their stories on line and save for publishing.
When students work is published, students take more pride. Typing skills are also an added bonus.
