My students love experiments and hands-on activities. This could provide my students with an exciting lab activity.
My students love science and discovering new things.
The school is a small school in a small town. With a small budget the school does its best to provide us with the basics. I teach all four science classes for the 6th grade. The students are lively, passionate and really want to learn more through hands-on projects and activities.
My Project
The owl pellet kits would provide each of my 4 classes with the supplies necessary to perform an owl pellet lab. The students have specifically mentioned that this is an activity they have never done and are very interested in trying. Students will be able to work in pairs and dissect owl pellets. Included in the kits is a bone identification card, students can then identify which bones belong to which animals. Also, included in the kit is an instructors manual, coordinating worksheets, and additional follow-up ideas.
This project will make a difference to my students because this is something they have specifically requested as an activity.
Funding this project would give my students an opportunity to perform a hands-on lab. My students would be so excited to try out the owl pellet lab activity.
