My Students
We have large class sizes with students of varying backgrounds and learning styles at our school. Despite our differences, our students recognize each other's strengths and diversity.
Our students love coming to school and learning, especially when they get to collaborate on STEM tasks.
They are bright, curious, inquisitive learners who enjoy solving real world problems and authentic learning. Our goal is for all students to be outstanding wise learners for life. This isn't just a goal teachers have set. It is part of our school culture. It is who we are and what we do.
My Project
My students love breakouts. Last year, I created an online breakout for math and my sixth graders were engaged and invested in their learning. One of the greatest things about breakouts is that students aren't just learning the core. They are also learning how to think critically, collaborate with their peers, communicate effectively, practice close reading skills and be creative.
I want to make our class breakouts even more interactive with Breakout EDU's Breakout Box and subscription.
With the Breakout Box, students can input codes from clues they solve to open up the box and get the prize inside. I know my students will love learning this way and that it will increase engagement in my classroom and help them develop critical skills.
