Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The kids over at GJ tend to be underprivileged. Most of the kids do not have much in terms of fun activities for themselves. With these items I will not only be able to incentivize this year’s class of 6th graders, but also my future students. The kids will realize that if they want to have fun they will have to get good grades and finish in a timely manner. Hopefully, this will reach even the lowest of students and ignite a drive in them to do better.
During free time students will be able to rotate listening to music either by themselves or in a group after completing work.
Being a history class I thought it would also be unique if we created our own GJ History using a photo wall we create with student bios. This will help to add identity to the classroom.
My goal is to raise each student’s grades by a letter after being incentivized to perform.
Pens and pencils will be used to write.
Sharpener will be used to sharpen pencils.
Jackets will be used because the building is cold and kids forget jackets.
The chair will be used to sit and teach, as there is not an adequate chair in the room.
The camera as already mentioned will be used for the history bio project.
Hopefully, this is specific enough.
Not only will this be used for the main class but also for my club during after school hours. So, we will be able to whole group use items like the speakers for club activities.
