Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Society is rapidly changing, and students are expected to use technology on a daily basis. My students deserve to receive an education filled with technology, so that they stand a chance when placed in society.
My students are eager learners who are inquisitive, and enjoy taking on challenges.
My class is made up of second language learners. I have a mixture of GATE students, high achievers and students who need an extra push academically, but they all love learning and technology. I feel that my students deserve the best education possible, and that they will THRIVE with the tablet.
My Project
Having a potable tablet in our classroom will enrich and engage my students. Students will be more inclined to participate in class discussions, group projects and research if they are able to do it on a portable tablet. I will be able to use the tablet with my students who need a little extra push as well as engage my high achievers so that all my students can reach their potential. Being able to use a tablet in the classroom will make learning feel more exciting and fun.
For many of my students school is the only place where they are exposed to technology.
Please help my students be prepared for the 21st century. I feel it would be a disservice to my students if I did not do everything in my power to teach them how to use current technology.
