Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach all of the 5th grade reading / language arts classes in my school. I would love to add more pictures to help demonstrate concepts such as grammar, figurative language, and rhyme.

Many people think fifth graders are too old for read aloud, but I think everyone can learn from a read from a good read aloud.

I've chosen books from a variety of authors--many of these books came highly recommended from other teachers.

My classroom is made up a variety of students--many are English Language Learners, and many receive special education services.
