This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My amazing 5th grade students love to munch on popcorn while working together to solve math problems. Since my students don't have lunch until 1:10 PM, and they usually don't eat breakfast, they LOVE a mid-morning snack!

The 5th graders always request popcorn, and I love to give them popcorn because it is a healthy snack that doesn't leave orange "cheesy" fingerprints all over our math materials.
