My Project

The books and materials I’m requesting already have a “home” in our classroom. Each one has been carefully selected to support our 5th grade social studies standards, and we’re excited to bring these learning tools into our hands!

The books will be used to deepen students’ understanding of key historical topics, including Beringia and the migration of early peoples, the rise and fall of ancient empires in Central and South America, Native American history and culture, and the Age of Exploration.

These materials will be placed in our class library and featured during reading groups, research projects, and history discussions.

Students will use the books to support inquiry-based projects, write informative reports, and build background knowledge for discussions and presentations. These resources will help bring history to life in a way that textbooks alone cannot. With these tools, my students will become thoughtful researchers, critical thinkers, and more informed citizens.

The donations to this project will directly support our goal of making history relevant, accessible, and meaningful. Thank you for helping my students explore the past to better understand the present—and shape the future.
