This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my fifth grade students show up with so much positive energy each day. Getting through the whole day without a snack is impossible for their growing brains and bodies though. My kids attend a Title I school and each of them qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Everyday, they are excited and thankful for the snacks I keep on hand for the long stretch from lunch until they get home for the day.
My goal is to make sure they have the support they need to keep learning.
