My students need supplies for their 5k race that will be held on May 25, 2017. To make this even memorable we want to give each participant a medal and race number.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Lots of my students have not found their passion for reading. Through having graphic novels in my classroom I believe they can make the stories come alive and have the desire to want to read.
My students come from 7 different countries and speak different languages.
They also come from low income households, for many they do not have a safe place to go home to, nonetheless a collection of books at home that they can read. Our school is a Title 1 school that offers breakfast and lunch for our kids. We do all we can, but by providing these books we can give them more options to read.
My Project
On May 25, 2017 we are having a Fun Run. We are inviting the whole school and the community to get involved. Because we are in a low income area we don't have the parent association to plan these things and raise the money that is needed. So we are asking for water, race numbers, and popsicles to make the event a hit!
With trying times in the world, we want our students of our school to know that they can do anything.
For some a 5k may seem impossible, but we want them to push each other and accomplish the possible!
