Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a school located in a low-income community. Because of this, many students do not have basic classroom supplies. The students come from various backgrounds, and have differentiated learning needs.
Approximately 90% of the school population qualifies for free school meals.
I am a special education teacher. My classroom requires small groups, differentiated instruction, and engaging tasks.
My students deserve quality materials necessary for learning. Basic classroom supplies and technology are in high demand in our school and our students deserve to experience high-quality education and resources.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in the lives of each of my students. These materials are basic supplies we use daily in our classroom. Since we are a Title 1 school, many students do not have the necessary materials like pencils and dry erase markers. We use these materials in every subject. Colored paper, tissue boxes, and markers are community classroom supplies we are in desperate need of. These materials will enhance our learning experience and ensure we are working towards our learning goals.
