My Students

My students are a diverse group of students from the East NY section of Brooklyn growing up in low income families. My students are creative, thoughtful innovative and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

Every child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, and my students are becoming enthusiastic learners.

In the classroom we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

My classroom needs basic supplies in order to keep my students successful and motivated to prepare them for the real world ahead. I am asking for pre sharpened pencils to give students easier access to writing, dry erase expo markers to be used during centers, assessments, the use of personal whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. The highlighters are to be used during reading and writing workshops.

With your help, these children will be able to focus on their learning with the comfort of knowing their basic school supply needs are being met.
