Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would be grateful to give my 4th grade students an intervention class full of projects to enhance their learning in engineering and technology. They will get to build cars that run on solar power and terrariums that grow plants using lights.
These are students who often feel left out because they are either at grade level or are high achieving students.
They do not get invited to after school interventions or get extra attention since the focus is on academics and closing the gaps. They would love the chance to use their skills to create amazing projects that they can proudly show off, having built moving “cars” from scratch! We would really appreciate a variety of STEM Kits: Solar Powered Cars, Craft Building Toys and Engineering Kits.
