My Students

Our classroom is filled with curious, joyful, inspiring, and audacious minds. The best part about 4th graders is their contagious curiosity and joy! My students are incredibly diverse and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. They have beautifully different life experiences that they bring into the classroom- which makes each day with them a delight.

I'm learning to listen closely to children- they are the best teachers!

This is why I want to provide only the best learning materials for them to use.

Our school is Reggio-Emilia inspired and students experience project-based learning. The curriculum allows them opportunities to explore the natural world, ask questions, and collaborate.

My Project

These books will add to our ever-growing classroom library. My students have high interest in graphic novels, and they are begging for more to read! These books will stay in the classroom and circulate through many eager hands and heads throughout the years.

These books will continue to up the engagement factor for independent reading in our classroom.

Many students share about books they love in classroom book talks, convincing others to read their favorites! I know these books will be at the top of the list for students to read. Additionally, many student use graphic novels to inspire independent writing projects, where they write their own graphic novels. We can use these books to immerse ourselves in the craft of graphic novels!
