My Students
I teach in a 4th grade ICT classroom in a Title one school in Maspeth, Queens. There are currently 32 students in our classroom coming from many different backgrounds. In our class we embrace different learning styles and personalities. In order to help our students succeed, we want to differentiate each lesson to best reach each student’s learning style. Our students need basic classroom materials to help them succeed. Funds from this project will provide books for the classroom library and a prize wheel and more.
My Project
My classroom is in desperate need of new books for the upcoming year. These books will be read everyday by our fourth grade students and added to our classroom library for years to come.
Students deserve to have books that they are interested in.
The students in 4th grade love Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the Dork Diaries series! Having multiple copies of the same series will allow the students to become familiar with an author that they enjoy as well as participate in a book club with their classmates.
The prize wheel selected will add excitement to various classroom activities while the fidgets allow students to have sensory output that they might need throughout the day to remain on task. The students and I truly appreciate anything you are able to give!
