Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach at the same school where I was once a student. This community and this school hold a special place in my heart. My students come from low-income families, and all students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Regardless of their background, my students have so much potential and are just waiting for the opportunity to shine.
I would love to be able to be equipped with new and creative ways to motivate and encourage all of my students to reach for the stars.
I want to foster a love for learning, so my students become lifelong learners. By learning new strategies that authentically engage students in their everyday learning, my students will come to love school and learning about just anything. They are the future world changers!
My Project
Hoping to have an extra special end of year celebration for BOTH of my classes- online and face to face. We will literally be testing for the majority of the remainder of the year. Not to mention that my students have worked so hard, even through all the challenges this year has presented.
A Glow Party will be such a fun and special way to allow our students to celebrate their success and hard work.
My project includes backdrops and decorations to use with black lights. I also have ink and laminating sheets to design, print, and laminate special awards for my students to treasure for a long time. I am most excited about the mini projector that will add an extra fun element to the celebration day so we can zoom in our parents and also include the online students while we celebrate with the face to face students.
