My Project

Help me give my 4th graders the gift of a healthy mind and body! I plan to use these yoga mats to be able to do some fitness lessons outside, so that each student has their own space to move, relax, and breathe. We will learn relaxation skills, practice mindfulness, and understand how we can manage our thoughts.

We will also practice being physically fit, and get moving!

The space in my classroom is much too small to be moving around with all of the desks, bookcases, etc. and the blacktop outside is much too hard to do any stretches and moves that are not on our feet, so I know these yoga mats are exactly what we need!

We all know that getting the blood moving and being mindful can make a huge difference in their learning/ academic performance. I can see that taking these small breaks from academics can and will give them the fresh air and sense of calmness that will reinvigorate them to be able to soar to academic heights!
