it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hi, I'm a 4th grade teacher teaching in Los Angeles. Many of my students come from low-income families and cannot afford computers. We use to have a computer lab, but we lost our computer teacher due to budget cuts. I have 5 Mac computers sitting in my classroom with no student friendly computer programs. I would really like to utilize the computers in my classroom by using programs that will teach students how to type. Many of students are afraid of the computers because they are not familiar with it. I would really like to ease that discomfort by providing them with more access to using the computers. I think one of the greatest skill a student can learn in school is typing and I feel that would open many doors to academic learning in the future.
