My Students

My students come from 8 counties all across the Southern Crescent Region of metro-Atlanta. We're in the heart of the thriving film industry, and our students are excited to see the changes going on throughout Georgia.

We are Mavericks, facing the future with the goal of changing the world.

In my classroom, my students are able to engage with real-world issues to discover how technology can bring about change. The best part about my position is that I am able to help students wonder about the world around them and identify issues that they believe are important​. As they dream, students will be able to actively create products that attempt to solve problems that they have identified.

My Project

My students have been creating amazing content using tablets, an iPhone, an even a DSLR camera; however, I want to give them the ability to create stunning video content with a powerful video camera. This video camera will allow my students to create video content like never before!

I'd love to have two of the same types of video cameras so that I may have either two groups working on different projects OR have two cameras going to capture multiple angles of one shot.

Offering this kind of video quality to elementary and middle school students will help to enhance their knowledge of the film industry and to prepare them for any digital arts class that they may take in high school or college.
