Hello Potential Donors!
I'm sure we can all agree on the importance of a strong mathematical foundation for our students, but for some students it's just not a favorite subject. For my Kindergarten students, the way to make sure they love math is to make it fun!
Kindergarten students are quite an active bunch!
While they haven't quite mastered the skills of waiting patiently for their classmates to finish, they are busy soaking up as much knowledge as we can give them! My students are always looking for the next thing, and when it's something exciting, and hands-on, it is easy to see they are not only engaged, but they are learning and becoming more confident in the skills they are developing. My students genuinely love coming to school. I aim to keep learning as fun as possible with lots of centers and activities, but with limited resources it can be challenging to create activities and games for every topic that is covered in Kindergarten.
My Project
There is nothing more exciting for my students than "choice time," which in my classroom is when they can choose any game or activity they'd like in the classroom (they don't have to know they're all designed with academics in mind!). With these new math games, my students will be reinforcing the skills they are learning through meaningful activities and games that just don't feel like learning to them! These games will also serve as a resource to promote differentiation in the classroom. With such a variety of games, all students can be engaged in different activities that meet their needs, while all being able to play.
I'd like to thank you in advance for your generosity.
Through your donations, I will be able to provide all of my students with math games that not only will they enjoy playing, but will reinforce the concepts they need to learn to be ready to go on to first grade!
