My Project
Next year, I have the privilege of looping with many of my amazing 3rd graders as they transition into 4th grade with me! We’ve built a strong classroom community, and I want to give them the best possible start in our new space.
To help create a welcoming and focused environment, I’m requesting a few essentials, including a classroom carpet where we can gather as a group for morning meetings and lessons, high-quality pencils with strong erasers (ours always wear out or break!), pencil grippers to support developing handwriting skills, and durable headphones for i-Ready lessons and state testing.
I would like a big desk so I can be better organized at standing-height to support my students under the document camera, some new books in a series they LOVE so I can better foster their reading skills, and board games to help motivate team-building during our soft-start time.
These simple tools will make a big difference. The carpet will give us a shared space to build community, the pencils and grippers will support writing confidence, and the headphones will help students focus and do their best during independent work and assessments.
