This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students in Providence are caring, smart, and full of excitement! They love working together with each other to complete learning tasks and fun projects to expand their learning. They come to school eager everyday to learn new things and socialize with their peers.
My students love hands-on activities, fun challenges, as well as calm and quiet reading time!
They are wonderful helpers and enjoy being leaders in the classroom. They put their best foot forward in all that they are learning and accomplish.
My Project
Being able to expand my classroom library with more popular engaging books for my students will greatly make an impact on their love of learning and reading. The students pick a chapter book from the bookshelf every week to read for their independent reading time.
Having brand new books to read will boost their excitement and eagerness.
These books will also be used during small group instruction for book studies with my students, really helping them improve their reading comprehension skills. Teaching my students to love reading is a priority in my classroom and these books will help me do so.
