This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a wonderful group of eager learners!
Unfortunately a big chunk of my kids need a lot of remedial help in the area of decoding and reading fluency.
Repetition and review is definitely a need and a valuable skill I feel would benefit these kids.
My Project
By giving me the exact resources I need for small groups to help those struggling readers get past that Reading level thresh-hold. By boosting their confidence and love for reading. I also believe these books will expose them to many different interest levels and will encourage them to further read. It also gives me as a teacher a high interest group of books to encourage a lifelong love of reading. I believe the extra practice with these books will help my struggling readers due to pandemic will grow and thrive!
