3rd Grade Needs Supplies

My Students

Our third grade class is made up of an amazing group of students including ESL, gifted, special needs, and dyslexic children. Our school is in a high poverty school district. Funds are often not available for extra materials needed in the classroom.

Many of our students are at-risk and receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Often, they come to school without the supplies needed for class. In spite of these hardships, they are eager to learn and absorb information like sponges.

Their futures are bright and they work hard to learn the things they need to know in order to be successful. These students love coming to school and being with their peers. Every day, they come into class ready to learn something new and excited!

My Project

Our third grade class is in a low income area and our students need supplies that will help enhance their learning experiences and keep them engaged. Several of my students are ADHD and need something that will help them stay engaged in learning such as game type stations where they are excited about playing and can move around somewhat. This is why we need multiplication cards and games for our math stations.

My students love reading and writing, this is why we need ink for our printer so they can publish their own books to share with others.

My students love creating their own books and they learn so much about writing through this process. It keeps them excited and motivated to learn.

We need to be organized in our classroom to keep things running smoothly. A set of mailboxes would help students become organized with their papers they are given back to take home. It can also help save time. We need these things to help make my students successful learners.
