My students need mathematical materials such as an Instant Math Games Library and 30 Common Core Daily Math Practice Journals to begin their journey into third grade.
Ever get nervous about the unknown? Or ask a lot of questions about what is to come? That is where my students are during the last few months of school. It is important to ease their nerves and help them prepare for the unknown ahead.
My students have been working extremely hard on all their second grade math skills.
It is at the end of the year that we want to keep them going with third grade materials. It is important that they progress and not regress. It is a shame that we loose them educationally for summer break, but it doesn't mean that they can be taught how to be independent and try on their own. It is my job as an educator to help them prepare for the next grade level and ease their nerves going into a summer vacation. These folder games and workbooks would allow them to have the opportunity to get a head start into the next school year.
My Project
My students will use these materials in the last few months of school each year to start preparing them for third grade. They will get an understanding of what is coming up in the next grade level. These math folder games and workbooks will ease their nerves about what lies ahead. These activities will strengthen all the second grade math skills they have learned and introduce them to what lies ahead in third grade. It is an important way to not loose valuable information over summer vacation and be prepared for what is in front of them.
This donation will help make my second grade class prepared for third grade and help them retain all the information they learned in second grade.
Having these resources will make it fun and exciting to begin the next step in their educational career.
