My Students
My goal for my 3rd grade students is for them to learn in a 21st century classroom that prepares them to use technology in ways they have never imagined.
My students come from a rural area with a close-knit school and community.
Being such a small group, strangers don't exist in our building. They are an eager group who thrive on hands-on activities. They love to explore through technology and are consistently working on building their digital and online skills!
My Project
The students will use the Kindles with the keyboards and cases in many different ways. They will use this technology to research and expand learning using digital sources. Students will also utilize this technology during daily instruction through online tools and manipulatives. Students will be able to collaborate with other students and the teacher throughout content areas.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by putting technology in the hands of learners.
Students will be empowered to think critically by using tools beyond their imagination. Having these tablets will allow more students to access online information as they learn to explore new concepts and build their own learning. Learning these skills in 3rd grade will enable them to be productive citizens as adults.
