My Students
Our inner city students come from various backgrounds, where English is not always their native language. They come into school wanting to learn and work hard because school is the safest place for a lot of them. Our inner city students come from various backgrounds, where English is not always their native language. We are a Title 1 school where we receive 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students.
Our students come into school wanting to learn and work hard because school is the safest place for a lot of them.
When they enter my Discovery Lab, the excitement builds because they know they have challenges that they need to face like engineers, scientists, and many other professionals do in the real world. Students love working with their hands to create something or solve a problem. Our school is a wonderful place to learn because of the environment created by the staff. We show our love of learning to help foster that in our students.
My Project
My as a part of engineering, students are always designing everything from their own bridges, walls, and just about anything you can think of. Students spend a good amount of their time planning out what they want to do. What an amazing opportunity it would be to have them not only construct it out of everyday household materials, but to create their actual design using a 3D Pen!!! Now, if we had a set of 3Doodlers, they would be able to bring their designs to life. To actually touch something they have designed would be the ultimate experience for any child!
