My students need to have experiences with technology that may not be normally available opening a whole new world of learning.

My Students
The students are active learners who benefit from working in small groups and gaining experiences through what is brought into the classroom. They love when they are challenged and presented with a problem they have to solve within small groups or teams. They depend upon the support of the adults in the classroom (both teachers and paraprofessionals) to help them get the most out of their lessons. My students come from a variety of backgrounds including but not limited to family styles, economic status, and different learning styles. Each student brings their own uniqueness to my classroom and allows for a fun and engaging learning environment for all.
The students that I work with are hardworking and determined to make sure they are successful outside of high school.
They enjoy learning through a variety of methods of instruction, including learning through games like Chess, Yahtzee, and Monopoly. Giving them real world experiences really drives their learning and helps them to be more engaged in the lessons.
My Project
The students that I work with get 90% of their technology experiences at school. Being able to try out new technology would show them what is available to others in the world. The 3Doodler is a great innovative pen that would allow my students to create 3D items using a pen. This would also help them expand their learning when they create 3D items that they can touch. Many of the students I work with are hands-on learners and opening this window would improve their learning. It would also give them creative experiences with limitless possibilities.
Many times students with special needs are forgotten when it comes to having the latest and greatest technology.
Giving these students the experience of a lifetime would enhance their learning potential and could lead to increased understanding of concepts being taught. It would also help expose them to things that they would not normally get to experience. What they could create with the 3Doodler will expand their imaginations and they have limitless options for what they can create.
