My students need a 3D printer to help combine STEM lessons with artistic lessons
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My classroom is located in a middle school in a very low-income area of our city. My kids usually have a difficult time acquiring even the most basic of educational supplies such as paper and pencils; never mind creative supplies such as calculators, paper, markers, and colored pencils.
They are great kids that can really benefit from extra school supplies at their disposal.
Each day our kids come to school and are usually unprepared for the day. Whenever a teacher can provide missing resources, it is a win for them.
This project will make a difference to our students because it will provide them with a new resource that they can enjoy and be proud of. Many of the materials and resources we have are used or second hand. New materials give our kids a reason to come to school and have fun while learning. This project will provide our kids with a great resource that can be used on a daily basis. These materials will help advance their academic careers by providing them with new resources.
This 3D printer will allow our art teacher and our science teachers to create fun and exciting lessons for our students.
Many of our students are very artistic but are not as strong in the classroom. This 3D printer will allow us to pair our artistic students with our science fans to do all sorts of creative projects. We will be able to create 3D models of different items we cover throughout the year that can be designed by our artistic students. This will provide our students with a cutting edge technology that can really get their science and artistic minds going.
