Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have a classroom room of energetic diverse young minds with many such creative ideas for STEM. They are great troubleshooters and critical thinkers. Many of my students do not have the resources necessary to apply those creative ideas in or out the classroom.

Even though resources are low, all are eager to learn everything they can about today's technological devices.

These young inventive minds are our future! Helping them to "think outside the box" gives them that extra push toward brighter futures and a more successful tomorrow!

My Project

The materials will make a difference in my classroom because it will allow students to take their ideas from paper and make them more tangible.

I teach my students the difference between mock-ups and prototypes.

Prototyping allows my designers to make a representation of a design problem so they can experience a physical form of their idea.

With a 3d printer, my students will also see the importance of incorporating mathematical computations, engineering design principles, as well as, advancement in technology.

3D printing will help to gain an awareness of 3D modeling which in turn allows for more job opportunities for the 3D world.
