My Students
My school serves a diverse, high-poverty population with 98% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. My students are resilient, hardworking, and hilarious! Each of my students is a mathematician, scientist, and artist. It is hard to keep up with them!
They are excited and inquisitive, which makes a great match for success.
Many students do not have supplies. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My energetic students enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.
My Project
ANYCUBIC Photon S 3D Printer, UV LCD Resin Printer with Dual Z-axis Linear Rail and Upgraded UV Module & Print Quietly and Off-line Printing will allow my students to print different items from play money that they will receive for good behavior from the PBS classroom store based on their behavior in the classroom and cafeteria. The students will use the computer to design an image, jewelry, shapes and any other objects that they want to be designed from the 3D printer.
The students will be using their financial literacy skills to design and purchase merchandise from the middle school classroom PBS store with play money that they have created and received based on their behavior.
This project will allow my students to be creative and interested in taking ownership on how they should behave during school and to be rewarded for their efforts.
